Ceiling Mishap

Well, we had set this up merely to keep people informed as to our whereabouts and doings while we travelled Australia. However, despite it still being 8 weeks until departure I felt the need to share a brief pre-trip mishap.

While I was out at a Cricket meeting last night a section of the ceiling in the dining room decided to collapse into the, barely vacated by Rachael, room. It then continued to crumble away until a hole roughy the size of a double bed was left. This then precipitated a string of 'Quick come home the roof has fallen in' text messages. After quickly vacating what was a tedious and pointless meeting anyway, I rushed home to sort the situation out by wandering around grinning inainly and taking pictures.

The only upshot is I've taken today off from work to try and get it fixed and with a bit of luck might be able to wangle some rent free time in compensation for the trauma!
